Next visit to Grenada

Postby Rayc » Thu Dec 07, 2006 10:50 am

Hi All

I've added this topic as I'm sure we would all love to know when any of our fellow members are travelling to Sunny Beach. So when you book your next trip let us know and we can share any updates on what's happening at Grenada.

Many thanks
Ray

PS I will be travelling near the end of May - but that's too far away to even think about!!!

Hi All

Just back from SB. Weather was great and the family really enjoyed the break. Prices haven't changed much since last year.

Hotel is looking fantastic. Pleased to say that the management team are continually making improvements. There is now a dedicated security man and a porter in the lobby. I reckon the cleaners are cleaning the lobby floor about 4 times a day!!! It is all immaculate.

There is a new Pizza restaurant going into the C Block poolside. It was being kitted out while I was there. The a-la-carte restaurant is also remaining.

A new metal canopy structure was erected and they were making the canopies onsite while we were there. Staff have been issued with smart uniforms etc. All gives a great impression.

A bit surprised to see it so quiet at end of May but it livened up a lot in the first week in June. In the last few days the sun loungers around the pool were full.

It was good to meet Ianr and his friend Ray (another one - also an owner). Also met up with some Irish owners too.

Bit of a shame they are using the Fitness Hall as an office - I'm hoping that is only temporary!!

So all in all, a great spot - so I hope you all enjoy your visits this year. Use this section to keep us posted on any changes.

Cheers
Ray

Just arrived at Grenada here till Monday night 27th I Think. Bit quieter than normal but who’s complaining, weather hot but overcast.

Not a good start the connection hoses to the washbasin both blew and also he shower cassette had a crack. Spoke to the maintenance men quoted me circa 40 euros to resolve. I’ll let you know how good they are.

Overall it proves that either the water pressure is too high or the taps etc are cheap bearing in mind I bought my own kitchen and the hoses and taps are all ok – lucky it was in the bathroom so no damage.

Regards
